    just to add smth, I was reading about Isnotreal's vertical occupation - the air is consumed with drones of precision killing, the land is full of occupation pockets, riddled with bombs and caterpillars. the underground, which was considered the last safe space for Palestinians, used by regular civilians for years, was also bombed under the ruse of eliminating resistance fighters. the use of tunnels made me think of how both sides are using architecture differently, ordinary citizens used those tunnels because imagine living with war hovering over your head for decades. the very air they breathed was made toxic - affecting the vitality of generations to come. precision killing was perfected by genocidal maniacs almost a century ago and every Palestinian has lived with it ever since.

    You know everything done against the Palestinians is the result of the their reluctance to recognize our rights as humans but also our national rights to self determination and safety in our home. Since the very beginning zionism was willing to give up on important Jewish cities such as Hebron, Scheme, Tzfat and even Jerusalem to establish the state of Israel to first and foremost save jews from antisemitism, and to resurrect our people on our homeland, while the arabs had none of it. Trying to ethnically cleanse a people and doing the most horrific senseless jihadist terror against them for decades while refusing any offer to move on and have peace cancels your right to whine about it. You live in a military occupation? Well you shouldn’t have shot people on the street. You don’t get all the products you want? Well you shouldn’t have elected hamas into power. These guys are muslim brotherhood jihadists like the most reactionary fascist muslims and they elected them. So why should Israel allow free flow of products and people? Do you know Egypt also does this? They also don’t want to feed the monster. You turn a blind eye to the facts that don’t suit you. Btw I’d say palestinian is a fake identity invented to combat jewish nationalism. They were just all part of Arab nationhood before Israel. Palestine is also the name given to Judea after the war with Rome that ended in the Jewish explosion that lasted almost 2000 years. Israel is one of the most successful decolonization stories in history maybe only after the Iberian reconqista. It would have been another Syria or Yemen but it returned to its rightful owners and Israel now is a beautiful, happy, innovative, and free place with great people and culture. You should celebrate it, instead of crying crocodile tears on the reactionary barbaric islamists that invented a peoplehood and convinced you that it would be good to ruin all the good that Israel is and replace it with their reactionary flavor of ISIS.

    Sir, can you please explain if I am dealing with the Indian diaspora in the United States of America- Will the Indian diasporic life be considered as hybridized since the U.S. and India both remained as the colonized parts back in the past. There is no concept of higher and lower authority here, then.

    One more thing, I find it particularly interesting and compelling that Foucault observes what I believe Nietzsche observed about morality, that even when you flip the system on its head, your version of right is still in relation to the version of the oppressor, even and especially if your version is the complete opposite. For example, to hate the rich but then to define good by the opposite of rich, you're still admitting to the system set in place that monetary value entails personal value. What I sincerely wonder is if Chomsky understood and accepted this, or if he merely overlooked it.

  • @4arms4dayz
    @4arms4dayz День назад

    You're the only one I've seen so far who actually seems to have actually seen/paid attention to/gotten the point of that debate. So many videos I've seen from popular channels that talk about disagreements between the two of them that didn't actually happen. They agreed on most things but were taking completely irreconcilable frameworks. To Chomsky limits made creativity possible, and to Foucault (to oversimplify) limits make it impossible. I don't see how they ever come to truly common ground after that. Foucault seemed to have a deep psychological disdain for all traces of hypocrisy (ironic in many ways). Chomsky was far more utilitarian in that aspect and willing to tolerate certain levels of hypocrisy for what he considered a common net benefit. This debate was far more interesting than most videos on the subject make it look, but you captured it nicely.

    • @4arms4dayz
      @4arms4dayz День назад

      To clarify, the hypocrisy I'm inferring and referring to is the idea of even attempting to define an ideal society with terms that still have the stain of the oppressor. Foucault's like a linguistic germophobe.

    The story of 1200 israeli victims is the story of Israel. The dogma of Hannibal of the israeli army means that an helicopter of the IDA bombed israeli captives and Hamas people who took refuge in kibuts . In fact some observers gave the figure of 400 victims which a reasonable figure considering the size of the festival. Propaganda of the israeli authorities addeded the figure of 500 policeman and military to suit the figure of 1200. Israel is always contructed on lies 😮😮

    You are talking about two non-scientists as if they think like scientists do. Butler's strange ideas are a result of her own traumatic childhood experiences with gender. Foucault was probably trying to understand the power of sex in saunas and sex clubs. (Passion of Michael Foucault). Gender is artificial? Gender is the Cognitive Structure that represents Biological Sex. There is also a Cognitive Structure that represents "race" which varies depending on the culture. We have Cognitive Structures for the concept of a "door". We don't bring into out minds the physical object but we construct a representation of it. But sex and gender are intimately linked, unlike what Gender ideology says. Plus, gender ideology is dead in the water because it's based on ridiculous ideas such as "born in the wrong body". People must listen to rational people, like Helen Joyce, who is a PhD in Mathematics, later a journalist an d now an author. Mathematicians need to master the art of think rationally, otherwise they wouldn't make. Anybody can talk like Foucault or Butler, just a word salad that can never be proven. I don't agree with Foucault's work with regards to sexuality. I don't think that Sexual Orientation exists, and that people are gay or straight. Nobody is straight and nobody is gay. Only the encounters c an be heterosexual or homosexual, not the people. "For nearly a century the term homosexual in connection with human behavior has been applied to sexual relationships, either overt or psychic, between individuals of the same sex... It would encourage clearer thinking on these matters if persons were not characterized as heterosexual or homosexual, but as individuals who have had certain amounts of heterosexual experience and certain amounts of homosexual experience. Instead of using these terms as substantives which stand for persons, or even as adjectives to describe persons, they may better be used to describe the nature of overt sexual relations, or of the stimuli to which an individual erotically responds." Sexual Behavior in the Human Male (Kinsey, et al., 1948, p.656)

    I fail to understand the last point. Abstracting like this is often done, It makes the moral problem clearer and isolates for variables of interest while holding everything else equal. Why would someone's experience be enough, these things need to have an argument made for and against; abstractions such as these are good vehicle for those arguments. Otherwise interesting video.

    You are forgetting that after Israel won its statehood, it tried to be a peaceful entity in the middle east and give Palestine it’s autonomy. The Palestinians, instead of trying to live in peace, let terrorists run their land and have repeatedly attacked Israel. To that point, how could a Palestinian run for the government of Israel? I don’t think a Mexican-born person can become the president of the United States. It’s important to understand Israel tried to give the Palestinians their autonomy, and they weren’t happy with the terms. It’s tragic that there was a conflict in the area to begin with, but if the rulers of Palestine really cared about their population, they would do what’s best for their people… unlike using civilians as human shields. Free the people, stop the war.

    Hey buddy, you're doing fine. Check out Tony Greenstein's exhaustively resesrched and comprehensive history of the origins and development of Zionism. As a scholar you should have a copy for reference. There is an interview with TG on Electronic Intefada that gives an excellent overview of his research. Truly the last hurrah of European nationalism, so-called racial science, and Anglo-Saxon settler colonialism. Its special relationship to fascist ideologies and governments up to and through the Jewish Holocaust, as detailed from original sources, has made the book virtually unpublishable.

    Well , culturally to the people of the Abrahamic faiths - ( and others Buddhists, Hindus , Sikh etc.) are harmed or marginalized when the word "gay" is used in a narrow "culturally colonizing progressive" context that implies / enforces a false equivalence upon Abrahamic peoples - ( and others Buddhists, Hindus , Sikh etc.) or false cultural equivalency between a Heterosexual intergenerational/ biological cultural reality, as defined by Abrahamic cultures - ( and others Buddhists, Hindus , Sikh etc.) and "gay' homoerotic cultures. It is an example of an informal fallacy in which the false equivalence between such two subjects based on flawed, contextually, limited, censored or false reasoning. This fallacy is categorized as a fallacy of inconsistency. Colloquially, a false equivalence is often called "comparing apples and oranges." The fact is most people on EARTH do not live in a country that supports such false cultural equivalence , or have fallen for the western "culturally colonizing progressive politics " as measured by the number of countries that have fully legalized gay marriage , a total of only twenty-four nations, of 195 . .worldpopulationreview.com/country-rankings/countries-where-gay-marriage-is-legal.....
